# veXB3 & Boost

## veXB3:

XB3 can be locked between 4 and 100 weeks to receive veXB3. The longer a user locks for, the more veXB3 they will receive, and the higher their boost will be. veXB3 grants the user voting rights over protocol proposals in addition to earning **boosted** protocol & product revenue. It is noteworthy to mention that veXB3 holders earn ALL protocol revenue (in their base assets) from all of the available and future products. 

*Therefore, veXB3 holders earn:*

* **$CRV, $CVX and $XB3** from the Hive, and all unallocated referral rewards
* Additional **$XB3** staking rewards, and
* All fees from future product offerings (eg. XB3 Custody)

*Additionally, veXB3 holders can:*

* **Vote** on all protocol and app proposals
* Implicitly **boost** Hive and Protocol rewards

### **Locking Process:** 

Users can lock their XB3 between 4 and 100 weeks. The longer a user locks for, the more veXB3 they will receive and the higher their boost will be on Hive & Protocol revenue.

It is important to note that as with the veCRV model, veXB3 also degrades as your lockup period expires. This applies to both Bonus Campaign participants and non-Bonus Campaign participants.

Boost on the other hand, can vary. Users who are a part of the XB3 Bonus Campaign will have maximum boost for the entire campaign, and this boost will not degrade as your lockup period expires. Contrary to this; Non-Bonus Campaign participants will have their boost degrade as their lockup period expires.

## Boost: 

The higher a user's boost, the larger the user's share of protocol and product revenue. \
\
If a user locks their XB3 tokens for the full term within the first two months of launch, the user will qualify for the XB3 Bonus Campaign and this user's boost will **NOT** degrade as their lockup period expires.  

Any full term lock made after the two month mark, or any lock made for less than full term, **WILL** have their boost degrade as their lockup period expires.
